In my point of you on why there are many
that say he is and many others that wonder if he is or not, is because of the
After the 2006 World Cup, one of the Dutch
gay periodical magazines (I do not know the name, please help fill in the name)
named him the World Cup Poster Boy.
After the Euro 2008, he was voted as the Ultimate Gay Icon.
After the 2010 World Cup, he announced that he was a father for the first time. Many questions were asked who the mother of the child was, as it was unknown for a brief period, and if he was gay after more to the story was revealed.
A week, or so, after he announced that he
was a father, he was seen parting with singer Lance Base. Many began suspecting
that he was gay.
However, another reason is because of the way he looks and dresses and his metrosexuality and the irritating feud if he is a better footballer than Lionel Messi. I think that the feud encourages people and the media to thinking and wondering if Cristiano Ronaldo is gay and for poking fun of him because we do not see Lionel Messi the same way we do with his so-called arch-rival Cristiano Ronaldo in terms of Cristiano Ronaldo’s looks and the way he dresses and his metrosexuality.
The thing I do not understand is that many people ask and wonder this about Cristiano Ronaldo, but do not ask and wonder this about comedians who dress in drag to make people laugh and also ask and wonder this about authors who portray characters similar or somewhat similar to Cristiano Ronaldo in one or more of their novels. Come on people! Come on!
I think that it would have been better for him if he was gay, as I think that he would admit it. If he was gay and did admit it, then I am pretty sure that he would have helped encourage many gay footballers from all over the world to come out of the closest. In fact, I think that there would have been a good chance that he would have done the same to sports athletes who are non-footballers. After all, he is a well-known sports athlete outside football and is considered by some as the 2nd best footballer and by some others as the 1st.
To answer your question (finally), I think he is straight, despite all that I aforementioned. It does not matter if he is gay or not because he is a goodhearted person that has a lot of care for everyone and shows it. I respect him not because of being Portuguese myself, no; it is because of him being who he is, which is being a gay icon and a goodhearted person. Indeed, he does have his temper tantrums, but we all have our temper tantrums. Besides, some of the media and the Lionel Messi admirers make his temper tantrums worse, yes worse, and even make him look as if he is the black sheep of football.
Kudos to Cristiano Ronaldo!
